St. Paul is blessed with many active ministry areas and teams that help us to fulfill our mission of knowing Jesus, telling about Jesus, and loving as Jesus loves.  You can fill out our Time and Talent Survey to let the church office know how you are interested in serving. You can also look through our ministries below and contact listed person or the church office.


Praise Team

The praise team leads the music, songs, and hymns at our worship services.  Our 10:30 a.m. Contemporary service features a contemporary worship band with vocalists, pianists, guitarists, drummers, and other instrumentalists.  If you are interested in serving in this ministry please contact Pastor Emily.


Hospitality team

The hospitality team is responsible for providing treats and refreshments during the fellowhship hour between our two Sunday morning services.  


Maintenance Team

The maintenance team cares for the church building and grounds.  This team meets on the first Thursday of every month to work on parts of the church.  Everyone is invited to help.  If you have any questions or want to serve with the maintenance team, please contact Roger Andersen.


Church Library

The church library is on the second floor of the church and sits adjacent to the sanctuary.  It houses many resources for continued spiritual growth, church history, and leisure reading.  Everyone is welcome to check out books.  If you have questions or would like to help with the church library, please contact Adrienne Karr.


SPY Cell Group

St. Paul Youth Cell Groups are small groups for high school youth that are held every Wednesday night during the school year.  A light meal, game and a bible lesson/discussion are always provided.  For more information, please visit the High School Youth page.


Vacation Bible School

St. Paul hosts a vacation Bible school every year in early June for children preschool through sixth grade.  VBS is held every morning for one week and then helps lead the worship service on the following Sunday.  Children rotate between different stations including games, songs, missions, and Bible stories.  This is the largest youth event we hold each year, and it takes many volunteers to make it a success.   Opportunities to volunteer include being a group buddy that leads a grade from station to station or serving as a station leader.  If you are interested in helping to serve this event, please contact Denise Wilson.  For more information, visit the Vacation Bible School page.


Confirmation

Confirmation is a ministry for seventh and eight grade students.  It is a time to learn more about the church and explore faith. Students attend weekly classes on Wednesday nights throughout the school year for two years and prepare to affirm their faith on Reformation Sunday of their freshman year. Classes include interactive lessons, small group time, and one-on-one conversations with student's confirmation mentors.  Students are also involved in serving the community and congregation. Elementary Group

St. Paul offers youth groups for elementary youth.  Jr. Lutherans is offered for second through fourth grade students and WOW is offered for fifth and sixth grade students.  Both of these groups meet monthly on Wednesday evenings.  To volunteer with these youth groups, please contact the Denise.  For more information about these groups, please visit the Elementary and Middle School Youth page.


Sunday School

Sunday school for preschool through eighth grade students run throughout the school year.  Sunday school operates on a three week rotation schedule, where students learn about one bible story for three weeks.  Each of those weeks, they will rotate between different stations such as Games and Science or Arts and Crafts.  Additionally, students attend a music station every week for part of the time.  Adult volunteers are always needed to run the different stations.  If you are interested in helping with this ministry, please contact Denise.  For more information, visit the Elementary and Middle School Youth Page.

Companion Congregation

St. Paul Lutheran Church is blessed to have a companion congregation in Kidugala, Tanzania.  The companion congregation team is in charge of finding ways to financially support our companion congregation’s work. If you are interested in helping with the companion congregation team, please contact Roger Andersen.


Technology Team

The technology team assists with worship by running slideshows and videos during our weekly and special worship services.  


Cemetery

St. Paul Lutheran cemetery is located on Highway 92 west of Treynor.  The current cemetery committee is made up of members Dennis Deitchler, Ron Thomas, Josh Lammert and Alice Falk. Visit our cemetery directory to find grave locations and see plots available for purchase.  


Wedded Band

Wedded Band is a group that meets for a monthly program / meeting on the fourth Sunday of the most months, please see the latest newsletter for this month’s gathering info.  Additionally, the wedded band holds an annual Spaghetti Supper.
